Website terms
The purpose of these pages and the terms that need separate agreement for a real engagement.
1. Publisher and use of the website
Lauren Wilson is the public name of LAUREN ASHLEY HOPE WILSON, the independent publisher identified in About. The portfolio introduces surface-pattern and textile-illustration ideas; it does not run a fabric shop, a sampling service or a checkout. You can browse concepts and prepare a free local enquiry without creating an account. These website terms explain that limited interaction. A commissioned artwork, licence or production order would need an expressly accepted agreement of its own, rather than assumptions based on a colourful mock brief or a selected interest in the form.
2. Information and its limits
Service descriptions concern visual development: repeat rhythm, motif language and colour relationships. They do not promise every material application, a certified print process or compatibility with a particular factory. A pattern that looks balanced at one screen size may need changes for a small label or a wide textile. Explain the surface and supplier requirements before agreeing work. Production proofing and manufacturing responsibility are not automatically included in illustration. The scope should identify both the creative direction and the practical constraints that the final files must meet.
3. Examples and illustrations
Orchard Sunday, After Rain and Cut Paper Garden are original fictional collection studies. Their names are imagined briefs, not brands represented as clients. The flat repeats show fruit, drops and geometric flowers; no physical fabric, stocked product or manufactured sample is photographed. Their explanatory notes discuss spacing, silhouette and palette rather than measured commercial results. Retain this context when referring to the studies. A finished-looking repeat is not evidence of a licence, a retail launch, a supplier partnership or a paid commission.
4. Enquiries do not send automatically
The website validates your name, reply email and message before preparing a draft. It displays the draft locally and offers an optional mailto link to [email protected]. No website submission, email delivery, booking, payment or reservation occurs when you press Prepare email draft. If you choose to open an email application, review its recipient, subject and body before deciding whether to send. The publisher cannot confirm receipt from the screen. Keep another appropriate route in mind if a matter is time sensitive.
5. Agreeing a project or service
Before a surface-pattern assignment is accepted, agree the motif count, repeat dimensions, colourways and file requirements. State the intended product category, distribution and licensed uses, including any proposed exclusivity. Identify who supplies the dieline or production specification and who approves a physical proof. Fees, revisions, timing and source-file handover need confirmation for that particular scope. The portfolio quotes no instant package and reserves no capacity. An email enquiry can start these questions without becoming an authorisation to draw, print or manufacture anything.
6. Materials and permissions
Only supply materials you have a right to share for the proposed purpose. Explain ownership, licence limits, confidentiality needs and any restrictions on distribution before work begins. Initial enquiry text should remain brief and should not contain third-party private records, account credentials or unrestricted system access. Permission to discuss a project is not automatically permission to publish the material, include it in a public portfolio or sublicense it. Responsibility for checking supplied facts, obtaining necessary permissions and approving the final content must be assigned in the engagement.
7. Reviews, changes and acceptance
A pattern review works best with a defined decision stage. Agree when motifs, repeat spacing and colourways will be approved, who consolidates feedback and which variants are included. Changing the product category or requesting a different scale after approval may require additional work. Physical proof corrections can involve a supplier and should have a clear owner. This website does not include endless palette changes or every future application. Keep the accepted instructions so a genuine correction can be distinguished from an expanded collection brief.
8. Fees, purchases and third-party costs
No fee, stock price or paid subscription is quoted on this website. There is no shopping cart and no mechanism to collect a card number or payment credential. Any future price must be confirmed for the actual scope, currency, taxes and any applicable third-party cost before acceptance. A service provider, printer, installer, email company or software subscription is not automatically included in a quote merely because it may be relevant to the work. Do not make a payment to an address copied from an unverified message.
9. Use of authored material
The original studies remain examples of a visual direction while they are displayed here. Viewing a pattern does not grant a right to print fabric, resell its artwork or claim it as a commissioned collection. A real licence should define the approved artwork, territory or uses where relevant, exclusivity if agreed and any source-file delivery. Rights in supplied references and third-party assets also need checking. The font licence linked with the site concerns the local typeface file; it is not a licence to manufacture products from the pattern illustrations.
10. Appropriate conduct and external services
Do not misuse the site to send threats, malicious code, bulk unsolicited messages or material you cannot lawfully share. The pages do not provide secure document storage or an emergency response channel. Your browser, network and email application operate under their own settings and terms; the publisher does not control whether they retain drafts or open a particular mail handler. A local diagram or concept does not certify compatibility with every browser, device, production process or external platform. Agree technical requirements relevant to the actual deliverable.
11. Corrections, disputes and mandatory rights
If you notice incorrect information or have a concern about a received service, describe the specific page or agreement and the correction or resolution requested. The published contact is [email protected]; opening a draft alone is not confirmation of receipt. These website terms do not exclude mandatory consumer protections, data rights or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Questions about a commissioned service must also be considered against the actual accepted scope and applicable law. Changes to website wording do not silently rewrite a previously accepted agreement.
